Little Know Facts of a Music Artist

Here is some information you didn’t know about Josh Turner. Josh sang tenor and bass parts in his church choir growing up. He also created a church singing group were he sang and played a little bass guitar. After attending school at Hannah Pamplico High School in Hannah, South Carolina, Josh attended Francis Marion University where he began to play the piano. Josh is an incredible piano player and has said “the piano helped me through some tough times in my life, times when I couldn’t sing.”
Josh almost didn’t have a music career back in 1996 he developed a lesion on his right vocal chord. He didn’t need surgery but he did have to stop singing for over a year. During this year Josh used this time to learn specific techniques to help his voice out so that way he could have a long singing career.
After all that and started getting better and moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. While in Nashville he went to Belmont University and took classes in their music department. During his time at Belmont University he met a girl named Jennifer. In 2003 right before Josh released his first album he and Jennifer got married. Jennifer is an important part of Josh’s life and even plays in the band and often does background vocals.
