Basic Info About Facebook
December 19th, 2007
The site is designed to be highly modular, allowing users to easily customize their unique profile area. From graffiti walls to huge picture galleries, Facebook members have an array of options to express themselves online for the rest of the world to see, if they so choose. Facebook features multiple levels of security, easily allowing users to decide what they want shared with other users and what they wish to remain private. Facebook, unlike some of its competitors such as MySpace, was designed for the rising adult, particularly the college student, in mind. Due to this face, Facebook has a more professional layout than that of MySpace and features content that more mature individuals will enjoy. While Facebook allows anyone over the age of 13 to join its website, its target audience is, and always will be, the college student trying to network with others at their university.
